How to Sell Your Home in Lincoln, Nebraska

We’ve all been there.

It’s 7 AM on a random Tuesday morning, and you’re staring at your leaky bathroom sink, thinking, Yeah, I can fix that. You meet your own eyes in the mirror before you, a wrench in one hand and fierce determination in the other. Today’s the day.

You’re going to repair your own plumbing.

It’s not like you’re installing a whole new sink or anything crazy. You’re not about to pull a full remodeling job. You’re just going to stop these darn pipes from ruining your cabinets and causing a mold problem.

Right?

But 20 minutes later, you’re standing in an inch of water, wondering why on Earth you decided to attack your plumbing. So your pipes were leaking—big deal! You never liked these cabinets anyway!

There’s a time and place for a DIY mentality. But when plumbing and/or electrical wiring are involved? When your car is smoking? When your tooth is loose?! That’s when you call in the professionals.

A good plumber, electrician, car mechanic, or oral surgeon puts my mind at ease. They have the education and experience necessary to do their work excellently.

That’s not to say I don’t believe in the ingenuity and resiliency of people. I do. Researching and putting in the effort to solve day-to-day problems is admirable.

But when time is limited and expertise is required, I’ve found it’s best to stick to my strengths and allow others to help me with the rest.

This is part of why I love my job as a realtor. Many people think that selling their home will be as easy as listing it online—but that’s like starting a business and never telling anyone about it!

I help my clients sell their properties faster by marketing them, negotiating with buyers, and getting the best possible deals for my sellers. That way, they can focus on what they do best, be it working outside the home, taking care of their kids, or something else.

We’re in a tough real estate market. If you’re hunting for a new house in the Lincoln area, don’t leave the sale of your old one up to chance. Just like a good plumber, a good realtor knows what it takes to get the job done.

Today’s the day. If you’re ready to sell your house, reach out. I’m happy to help.
